Hi, I’m Kari Lewis! I try and make everyday a good day. What is a good day anyway? It’s all about choices…even when life is sometimes difficult, there’s almost always something to be thankful for. What are you choosing to be thankful for today? I am thankful you are here!
I am blessed to live my days with a super encouraging man. He makes me laugh so hard sometimes we both end up crying! We’ve been married since 1984. We were blessed with two children who are amazing young men plus now we have a wonderful daughter in law! We live in Oregon and love the beautiful outdoors of the Pacific NW. I am grateful for God’s boundless love and this life I get live with others.
I grew up with a mother and grandmother that were wonderful bakers, thus one of my favorite things to do is bake.
I also love gardening, creating a “cozy” home and sharing life with family and friends.
A more recent love is learning more about wellness. How nutrition, faith, fitness and essential oils can work to affect our lives in a positive and healthy way. They are all parts of a Good Day Lifestyle!
Hello and I’m so glad you’re checking out “Good Day Lifestyle!” I am Mary Retlich from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. (Fondly called Yoopers) I’ve adopted many positive life habits in the past couple of years to make each day a GOOD DAY. I’ve discovered my passions are personal growth, learning how the body works and thrives with natural supports, participating in communities that help people to become their best, and sharing what I’ve learned.
I started my wellness journey when I felt I was out of choices for feeling better with the options that were laid out in front of me. The way I saw it for a bit, I was destined to feel limited and older-than-my-years for the rest of my life…and that got me quite down, honestly.
In the summer of 2014, I began looking at what I was surrounded by in my environment. I started to make changes with what I cleaned with, turning to specially designed cloths that didn’t need an accompanying bottle of “ick” to work and using products for laundry that skipped the bad chemicals. Simply, I tossed the toxins. I felt pretty darn good about myself for that, but I knew there were more changes to make.
In September of 2014, I began using essential oils and THAT was a total game-changer for me. The best way I can describe my using them, is that I felt HOPE. For the first time in a long time…hope. (Let me tell ya, it’s a beautiful thing.) Using Young Living Essential Oils and having the support of my fellow oily teammates has been a huge force in me becoming well.
In 2015, I received a diagnosis from a research hospital that I was resigned to for a time. After a year, resignation to a label gave way to determination to get my body healthy again by rebuilding what is wrong. I’ve also become more cognizant and aware of the foods I am putting into my body. Ingredients and sources are SO important.
Learning, growing, and rebuilding is where I am today. I feel a strong pull towards sharing my story to help others with theirs.
