Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies

 

I’ve been tending a yummy gluten free sourdough starter that has been very fun! But, I hate throwing away all the discard. So, I decided to make some chocolate chip cookies and oh my word they are so delicious! Also, I infused this recipe with essential oils which makes them even better. Ingredients:

2 cups almond flour

½ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon sea salt

½ cup butter softened

2/3 maple syrup or raw honey

2 drops nutmeg + cinnamon bark oil

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

½ cup gluten free sourdough starter or regular starter

1 cup chocolate chips

Directions

Mix butter, maple syrup, nutmeg + cinnamon bark oil. Add egg, vanilla, and sourdough discard and mix until smooth.

Add in the almond flour, salt, baking soda. Blend together.

 

Preheat oven to 350. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown on edges.
